Michael Hall Rousanne 2010

Michael Hall has only been making wine in Australia since 2007 but his resume suggests that he has been making wines with some of the most renowned producers from Australia and around the world.  His wines have a precision between structure and fruit expression woven throughout his entire range.  This would be the best Rousanne that I've tried from the Barossa by a long way.

Michael Hall Rousanne 2010

Long, lushes and laconic are the wines that Michael Hall produces.  This is not the fruit bombs of the Barossa but a more refined and thoughtful wine with class.  Here you get white flowers, pear and spice brimming through the oak influences and while it is a joy to drink now this is made to drink better with a little age under its belt.
